I just keep watching it and its so perfect.
Hidden ball tricks never get old. Never.
Such a small step, such a large mistake.
That's some Henry Rowengartner/ Rookie of the Year shit right there.
So does the ref need to see that or can they tag him and rely on video evidence?
As someone that has never watched or played baseball... Can someone clarify what happened here?
This is why baseball is fun you never know when stupid is about to happen. Baseball is supposed to be fun and much of the time people forget that.
I played Baseball growing up in Australia where cricket is the go to game. If someone did something like this in cricket, all bloody hell would break lose. Anyway I wasn't very good at baseball but for once I got on 2nd base. Feeling pretty chuffed I watched the ball go to shortstop. Looked over to the coach. I didn't see him throw it on but the pitcher looked like he had it. I take a little lead off the base and son of a bitch got me and the pitcher was on it.
I shrugged and walked off but I had no idea that was a thing anyone would do. Just seemed such an unsportsmanlike way to get someone out.
GOT EM COACH!
Daaayum that’s slick as fuck lol
I'd be terrified as the ump that I wouldn't catch it.
And the Oscar goes to...
Oldest trick in the book
Non-sports fan here, what exactly happened here?
I love baseball.
Karma already biting them for using them Apple watches.
Nice the hidden ball trick....
What a Canadian thing to do.
What if the officials never saw guy on base had his feet of the base for a sec? Replay?
To some of ya'll that know this game better than me. I get that the guy messed up, should've kept his foot down and everything. But who benefits on keeping the time rolling?
Don't you make points when you are the team running around? If so isn't it always beneficial to drag it out?
In Basketball if your team is on the offense and you keep dragging it out you get penalized.
jfc Todd Frazier
That is the most entertaining baseball has ever been
that’s why no one likes the blue jays
Another reason to hate baseball.
Pretending to throw the ball is something you'd do to mess with your doggo. Yes,. I understand that other sports fake throwing a ball to another player. Those are called passes and are generally for offense (trying to score). That move might be appropriate for a pickup softball game when you're out to have some fun after generous amounts of alcohol, not something pro baseball players should be doing. Maybe it was a legit out according to the rules, it was a juvenile move to get it... For the record, my muttly wouldn't have fallen for the fake throw (after the second time... probably).
