As a fury warrior, this is my personal hell
Amanthuls isn't even as good as the epic 1000 ilvl trinket for a lot of specs
Better luck getting arcanocrystal to titanforge 140 levels.

My guild just collectively stopped caring. Most of us are going into break until BfA, and the rest of us gives 0 fucks about this RNGfest.
Shove your Aman'thul and your legendaries where the sun don't shine, Blizzard.
Im never getting Seeping Scourgewing
I have 3 of 4 Pantheon trinkets.
All that's left is the healer one. RNGesus is my bitch.
Amanthul's is awesome, but as an Enh Shamana it's all about that Golg's baby.
I got pretty good luck with legendários on my paladin, got helm (not sure of name). But I have negative luck on mounts, after 5 years haven’t gotten horseman’s reins, gave up on invincible and mimiron’s head also
At least you know where to get it.
Meanwhile, here I am trying to grind out Field Medic
I mean, it's week 1000 now. Most of us don't care anymore.
Quality meme though!
This is me farming my Judgement Shoulders from BWL.
What hath I done to forake the Lord? Did I not done sub-dps as Ret in his name?
The drop chance is really low. Even now that Antorus is out for almost 3 months very few people have it.
I got mine the first time my guild downed Argus :3
Sucks that the drop rate is so low.
Also, I had my lootspec wrong for my first argus kill and got the wrong trinket. Because the subsequent trinket drops do not obey your lootspec (they are random) I now have 2 useless pantheon trinkets and neither of the ones I actually want/need. AND I play druid so my 3rd one isn't even guaranteed to be for my main spec either.
Wow population REEEEE'd this entire expansion about Legendaries not feeling legendary anymore.
Blizzard gives us an old school legendary
People still REEEEE
Life is hard as a Blizzard dev
As a Christian this is my favorite meme and I love seeing it crop up in my favorite pages 😂😂😂
I can't hear you over the sound of my amanthul proc.
Someone at my work leaves chick tracks everywhere too
Why do you hate us Blizzard
Anyone know much about David Gemmell and his Drenai series?
After doing some research there are more than a few similarities with the Warcraft lore and I'm wondering if Metzen ever mentions this? I know he talks about Tolkien all the time!
Apparently the first book Legend was "originally published in the US as Against the Horde".
Could have some influence could be a giant coincidence. Having portals look exactly like as pictured isn't exactly uncommon. When most people make a portal it's almost always going to be some type of door/arch. OFC it's harder to explain away the Drenai part.
Yeah I mean WoW is generally a mish-mash of fantasy universes. Lots from Warhammer, as others have said, plenty from LotR, good bit from DnD. I do agree the parallels from that cover and "Drenai" seem a bit odd, but not shocking.
They also drew alot of inspiration from old school MMO Everquest, they were avid players iirc
AFAIK Blizzard wasn't the ones to coin Azeroth either, they got it from a book or something.
Wow draws inspiration / borrows from a lot of universes, but because it does so becomes very diverse, we see Tolkien, Lovecraft, obviously Gemmell and several others in the world of Azeroth. I feel like it is different enough on its own though :o
The first book of the series was released in 1984.
I suppose it's possible. But this guy hardly invented the concept of "portal archway".
Nah, Metzen and Blizzard in general drew the most from Warhammer and Lord of the Rings.
I love wow and I love the world/stories but there's no mistaking that Blizzard has cribbed heavily from prior work in creating their world. At this point though I'd argue it's incredibly difficult to make a truly new fantasy world as no matter what path you take someone else has walked it before. Every time we go to Icecrown/Icecrown Citadel I joke to my wife that we're going to frozen Mordor.
Wow, I almost forgot about the radioactive brightness of nights back in that era... So glad they're gone.
What we've currently got is a great mix of foreboding darkness and playability. Having an option through the inky black potion to make it even darker is great, I just wish it was more cost effective. But, I suppose any gold sink, however small, helps at this point.
Dev Interview talking specifically about dark nights and going back to them in 5.4
During Cataclysm there was a revamp of the graphics system by adding shadows to the game, which required raising the ambient light in every zone, as the shadows made it too dark. This resulted in the night time having more ambient light than it used to.Patch 5.4 will have a test case for darker nights in Orgrimmar, Stormwind, and Vale of Eternal Blossoms.

Just to quell the ridiculous notion I've seen around this sub that "night brightness has never changed in WoW, people just made it up and faked screenshots".
It really depends on the zone too. Elwynn and Redridge were insanely bright at night around MoP, while other zones have remained pretty much the same always.
EDIT: Much better example is Northshire Valley
EDIT #2: Also, I think nights look great, so this is not a complaint or anything.
EDIT #3: 1.12 had the same level of brightness at night as 3.3.5 and current WoW (Night is back, yay!)
EDIT #4: WoW dev confirming that nights were made brighter during Cataclysm development thanks, /u/___hobbes___
Can't wait for 9.3.5
Why do majority if players play paladin, but everyone hates ret .
This wasn't a 7.3.5 change. This changed during WoD
thank you so much for this, I wasn't sure if it's darker actually now with 7.3.5. I'm happy to have a bit of darkness back.
Vanilla Thousand Needles
Reddit post from 6.2 beta making a few zones darker here
It gets dark way too late if that makes sense. By like 9-10pm server it's still fairly light out.
The only thing i feel the need is the rain, not all maps have it
This is especially toxic to players in Australia, who are forced to play on US day/night cycle. They experience the whole game at night mode only.
This startet when Australian servers were merged with NA, and Blizzard has refused to address this issue for years.
Huh. Never realized nights were so bright in MoP.
I was doing the moose bones quest and was quite pleased with the actual look of night time which I feel I have not really seen for years. Highmountian felt like a different zone to me at night. It was cool to look up and see the moon and our new star shining bright.
Its still far to light, its better now tho than it was clearly, id like to see the bottom image where you cant actually see the other side of the lake its that dark perhaps you can just see the glint of lights coming from windows.
A lighting update to this game would change the whole world I think.
It really is so much better now. Makes the world seem much more beliavable and immersive. Also appreciate the glowy gear in the dark :3
AND PEOPLE STILL COMPLAIN
The current brightness is great. I remember starting the game for the first time back in Burning Crusade and logging on at 9PM for the first time in Northshire, it was breathtaking. I'm glad we finally have some proper night time back in the game!
3.3.5 looks best imo.
You forgot to block the name in chat as well buddy
When were nights changed back ?
Also it looks like it was a bit brighter in 3.3.5 than 7.3.5.
I WiSh BlIzZaRd MaDe NiGhTs DaRk AgAiN lIkE vAnIlLa
why do you have no keybindings?
It's still too bright in my opinion. I think more intense weather effects would really help with immersion.
the brightness at night was also increased in TBC, it was very dark in vanilla.
I would love nights like the Hunter quest to recruit Rexxar, where you need to have a torch to see anything other than black shades on dark background. It would add much to the game, imho, especially if you have to choose between fighting with a one hander while holding a torch/lantern, or dropping the source of light (risking a fire, or that it switches off) to fight with two hands. It could also lead to the introduction of "alternate" sights, like D&Desque infravision, or full night vision...
A step in the right direction, but I still wish the Inky Black potion was a permanent option.
your healers must be happy
no really they are, its the first time they did something this raid
Bind "/s TAUNT" to 1.
Tank says: TAUNTTank says: TAUNT Tank says: TAUNT Tank says: TAUNT Tank says: TAUNT Tank says: TAUNT Tank says: TAUNT Tank says: TAUNT Tank says: TAUNT
There are only two kinds of co-tanks in LFR: those who never taunt and those who taunt every cooldown.
I would have enjoyed healing this actually.
Not that its not annoying but it would be fun.
To be fair, I solo tanked it in lfr on my dk. You are really are fine on anything, and I guess it's even easyer with a class with more damage reduction.
Had the same problem OP. I was taunting off this stacks for one fight, then I was in panic mode since I don't have the best gear. Worked out at least.
I have only tanked normal and HC argus, do you even care about the stacks in LFR?
I've always said that LFR is like watching 25 monkeys try to fuck a bucket.
I agree, they look great ! Can't wait to see the male ones.
Man she looks built son
omg want to make orc.
They look great overall. Can't wait to play one. Sorry green orc bros :(
We need this hairstyle for male orcs!
They better make bald an option as well. My orc female warlock is bald and I'd want my mag'har one to be as well.
If they have a bald hairstyle I am so making a Mag'har Survival Hunter named Okoye.
Beautiful! Except the whole ya know.....mega clipping with shields part. Sigh
I can't wait to roll one :0
Anyone know which rep I need to start grinding to unlock these mofos?
Lol they straight up took the night elf pig tails
Yes! Yes, they do... my male mag'har hairstyle and beard expectations have been raised by a few bars!!!
90% of players will be using bottom left or bottom mid-right.
Shit. I just rolled a regular orc.
Why her mouth look like a cat with that light shadow
Inb4 Mag'har become the first Allied Race sold through the Cash Shop
what a great alliance character
cant wait to play it
I don't understand Blizzard's need to put pigtails on orc women... It just... feels wrong.
Looks like the sea levels were higher back then. Always loved Metzen's work in the game manuals also in Starcraft.
I really hope he's enjoying his retirement. He deserves some joy in his life considering all that he has brought to ours.
The World of Watrecraft
I loved way more the style of War 2... I was sad when they completely change it in War 3 :(
Does that refer to the Night Elves as Dark Elves?
This somehow reminds of FF VIII map.
Please give us the undermine :(
Looks so much better then WoW one. In WoW every vanilla continent is rectangular (and IMO Northrend is almost that way too), and it's a problem of so many fantasy maps, it's like authoes are trying to fill the piece of paper to the fullest.
This one looks more natural
7.8/10 Too much water.
This map would have been so much better flight path wise
well done blizz.
i like how theyre not even hiding it any more. weve come a long way from harris pilton
Why isn't she bald?
My old bones ache.
Whose butt do I gotta fuck to get some updated sky boxes?
Take heart, young one, the Earthmother is near.
"She's been stabbed by a demon Titan and her solidified blood is being extracted by the Alliance and Horde but besides that she's fine."
I wish they would do minor graphic rework at some point, just update the textures, the trees, they don't need to add any details if it takes too much work, but damn those old zones would look insane with today's standards.
The Earth Mother smiles upon us!
I love how happy he sounds when saying it, like he's going ":D"!
An'she guide you
Best zone for me of the whole of Kalimdor
If in Mulgore make sure to complete Ahab Wheathoof's quest to find his dog. This NPC is voiced by Ezra Chatterton who had brain cancer and sadly passed away in 2008.
ah, i've been expecting you
best starting zone ever !
and soon when classic comes out we could experience it all over again !
I just hope they will do monthly charges so they might expand it differently than the current game we have now !
da earf mutha dont play
"But, what's that sword looking thing in the distance?"
Edit: Bah, poor execution of this. ignore me.
Why do posts like these get upvoted? It's literally a screenshot of nothing.
I started playing WoW last year and looking back, I'm glad I picked a Tauren as my first character. Mulgore might be the reason I stayed in the game through the first 20 levels.
You're going to regret that when you get a new transmog.
You better feed Ouch. He’s about to run away
I too have done the “Ghost Moose Mafia” thing with my hunter. So many people ask to join my gang!
what addon do you use for the quest log? Unless its Elvui. (havent experimented with it yet)
