Lowest is 885 so this would actually be an impressive accomplishment.

The memes are leaking
We are in the Meme
Where's the Rick Roll?
Can someone please explain this ridiculous meme to me?
Did they add all chat?
I will never get tired of this meme or its innovators.
Guys this meme must be recorded somewhere somehow. Plz I dare you put it in starcraft wiki or liquipeia but everything were so funny and various that it must be remembered for future meme seekers and makers.
A brilliant recreation.
wait, hots has all chat now?
There's a probe in Heroes?
Just want to say Probius is awesome in hots and severely underplayed. Thanks
To bad Probius doesn’t allow me to fulfill my cheesy dreams.
Only one cannon during a cannon rush? That’s weak.
Pft, I wish we had all chat in HoTS
I havent played HotS since it came out why is there a probe warping in stuff?
Reminds me of this
oh my god.. it's evolving!
random clearly underpowered and in need of buffs

I always love looking at stuff like this and the left graph in particular. We've had a lot of arguments against races since the beginning of time, and even with statistical data you can always kinda thwart it off or reason it out.But one thing that's always been a real kick in the face for Protoss players from the start is that "Hey, your race is the easiest!" -- Now I know at top Level, any race is really hard, but this graph definitely hints at something that I've been thinking for a while and that's that Protoss is no longer the Easiest race in SC2 to pick up, and hasn't been for a while.Arguments against have been "Well there are just more Zerg players than P/T on the ladder hence why they fill up more of GM" and the same goes for the most zergs placing highly frequently in European tournaments, "There are just more Zergs". And while I can't work out how many less protoss players globally then Zerg there are from this graph, there's definitely more Area taken up by Terrans than Zerg, and yet with the Zergs median being much higher than both Terran and Protoss.
I've thought this for a little while about Zerg, but there's a few mechanics which must make playing zerg much easier than the other races and I'd like to just pick 2 points that I think make zerg much safer to get good with faster. My first point is one that I think has lead to zerg being much easier than the other races for a while:1) -- Every unit you ever make can already be hotkeyed before it's even out on the field. If I think about how much extra clicking going and grouping units is and flicking your map around from here to there, or picking up rallied units is as opposed to making a group of units and giving them a control group it's actually so huge. Now I know Creep spread is something that takes up those extra clicks, but it's not as if other races also have a lot of clicking to do, i.e just selecting workers to make supply structures for the other races and shift clicking back to minerals/gas, or just production structures in general, as opposed to pressing "4 v click" to a location on the map, it's actually a massive deal. I think the trade off of not having to make mass buildings, nor supply structures or anything of the sort and having all your battle units already hotkeyed before they're out on the field far outweighs the mechanics "loss" of spreading creep or injecting, especially as timing injects became far less important.
2) -- Creep spread/overlord vision. This one is far more simple and I know can be restricted, a Zerg's vision if you have creep tumours on the map and overlords covering air space is insane. An attacks coming towards you and you can see it half the map away? Great. It shouldn't deal too much damage, and that's for air and ground, it's much easier to prepare for. Terran often you don't know an attack is coming until the attack is there, can be quite similar for protoss. I don't really want to super harp on, but i'm not sure when they first made creep spread a thing that it was ever intended to reach far across the map like it has. Initially it was deemed a way of connecting your bases, but as more queens became a thing, as did more creep spread and the meta evolved quite beautifully, but maybe not as intended?
There's probably more that people can go into, and hey, every race definitely has its qwerks, but it's lovely to see and talk about, and hopefully someone finds some joy in this thread reading about it. Obviously opinion based and not factual, would love to hear what you guys think!
So, if I'm reading this right:
Terran is the most played race by newer/lower and (somewhat mid) tier players. Makes sense to me, as it's the most rounded out race, and probably the easiest to learn.
In higher tiers, Zerg sees a lot of play. Again, makes sense, as games start pushing into more of a macro focus as you get better, and Zerg is very good for macro.
High tier players err towards Zerg and random almost disappears. At this point I'm guessing most players know how they play, and want to stick with it. The large number of Zerg players could be a carryover from Plat/Diamond, or Zerg is a better race to play in higher skill matchups. I don't really know.
And, finally, Protoss under-represents everywhere. Protoss is, in my opinion, the hardest race to learn, so I'm not surprised, though I am surprised to see that Protoss doesn't really shine anywhere. It comes close in the transition between silver and gold, but drops off very quickly into diamond.
Obviously this has less bearing on power level, since this is all entirely player preference, but it is interesting nonetheless, as it does show a (general) transition for into Zerg as players get better. Like I said before, I think this is due to the shift into more macro play, but I could easily be wrong.
As a diamond Zerg.... yeah seems about right.
Well, I look forward to more ling/bane fights as I climb the ladders.
Where are all the diamond protoss? In gold.
Where are all the gold zerg? In diamond.
It could simply be that people don't want to play as Protoss because they don't like the playstyle or aesthetics. Doesn't necessarily have to be because of balance.
I recently made a post on /r/dataisbeautiful concerning this. People choose a race for reasons varying from "space lazarrrsss are cooool" to "Flash is OP." Taking the numbers verbatim may be scewed by choice popularity.
These numbers need to be normalized to better represent populations: https://imgur.com/a/oaySm#9vkRBKz
Almost half of GM is Zerg
The good thing about these ratios is that in diamond it makes zergs spend about an equal amount of time on all 3 matchups.
Checks out. Can get higher mmr as zerg without actually properly knowing how to play that race than with my main race.
I am the only one that thinks about the spanish republic flag when seeing this graph?
NO wonder I get nothing but ZvZ in Dia -.-
To go along with this, here is a graph each race by MMR to number of players at that MMR on NA (excluding GM). It shows similar information to your first graph, but with more detail. I wrote a Python script to get this data and graph it myself since I didn't see anywhere on rankedftw that looks at raw MMR by race. The vertical lines are the average MMR of each race. Amazingly Terran and Protoss are within 5 points of each other, while Zerg is ~165 ahead. I didn't track random for this graph since I felt it added clutter, but the average Random MMR is interestingly almost exactly the same as Protoss and Terran.
Edit: Current average MMR of each race on NA -
Protoss underrepresented in GM, buff Protoss blizzard!
As diamond random I really need to make the jump to masters. I feel like a mainstream pleb
Me, quickly skimming the graph between games:
— Argh, it's complicated, just tell me P is imba in plain text!
I usually try and get each of my races into Masters each season but I don't get any practice in anything but ZvZ lately that I just stop playing zerg after like 150 games.
Rockin that ~30% win rate vs terran and like ~65% in ZvZ keeps me on the edge of getting promoted though lol.
Reminds me, bring back FFA!
I think a drone would have been more appropriate
As someone who is newer, I can totally relate. I live the meme but I have no idea anything about it besides warp gates
This is probably the most relatable meme out of the ones I've seen as I also started out Terran. This brought back nightmares >:
Never got how you would beat that
I love this meme, sry for a crappy scv, not enough MSPaint skills.
Edit of old comic inspired by all the confusion in Twitch chat quali streams.
I hope the players get on the right flight or we might not see them again
oh... oh no..
So good. So correct
Golden meme age of this subreddit. I love it !!!
Can someone actually link me to a VOD of this game?
Been seeing this blue orb meme on my front page for the past week.
Haven’t played SC2 in years, can anyone fill me in on this hot new maymay?
That hand makes me feel uneasy.
Lol, I can't believe this is still growing strong
I was waiting for this one :D
I miss WOL cannon rushing so much
Did the new major patch make early game cheese more strong or is this just in response to the new influx of players?
How long can this go on
Every ladder game I ask plz don't cheese, it doesn't work. :(
The last picture of that 'guy' is oddly satisfying
I need someone to message me when this warp gate business finally dies down so I can start browsing this sub again.
this one: r/shitposts
OMG thats so beautiful
i don't get this cheeze meme, or any cheeze meme... wtf is this cheeze "thing"
I don't know why, but this one made me laugh.
