Problem looks slightly deeper. They're a bit too long for you—you can tell by the creasing—so they stick out further than you think, causing you to catch the toe on stuff.

I have two pair about the same age. I have noticeable smoothing in the same area as you compared to the rest of the sole, but nothing like that. Mine are fine. Plenty of life left.

That almost looks like a hole in the center of what looks like a bike pedal mark?

Not sure if this makes sense, but I really like when there’s Japanese/Chinese lettering on shirts and brand shirts/shirts with English writing. Anyone have anything similar?

The amount of comments by people who are just guessing about how to care for knits in this sub us too damn high.

There are a lot of different kinds of knits in a lot of different fibers and a lot.of different kinds of hangers. Also care for knits knits in general....can't just be generalized.

Cotton jersey knits should be folded, not hung(ie tee shirts). Most sweater knits should be folded not hung. Some knits like fleece, polar fleece, french Terry can certainly be hung. It's not a good idea to hang a wet knit, especially a knit that should be folded as previously.mentioned but there are exceptions. Lay them out flat to dry if you aren't gonna put them in the automatic clothes ruining machine. You can also hang sweater knits if you have the right kind if hangers, but you don't so don't hang em.

Cotton and cotton blend knits...fold em usually, never hang when wet cuz they'll stretch...especially 100% cotton. Ok to hang heavier cotton fleece and terry knits used in hoodies and such. Just not a good idea to use a wire hanger usually.(btw those wire hangers from the dry cleaner are disposable, not meant to populate your closet, get real hangers.)

Wool knits...usually fold em, but ok to hang carefully on wide hangers, even when wet cuz wool doesn't hold water and get heavy like cotton does.

100% Poly knits...hang, fold, or throw em away....probably throw them away.

My question is how else are you supposed to hang it if you take it out of the dryer after only 10 minutes to avoid shrinkage? I've seen this method but wouldn't that prevent efficient drying of the item?

You'll get shoulder nipples. Folding is but if you have to use a hanger, there's this craziness, https://www.huffpost.com/entry/hang-sweaters-without-strething_n_6700258

Well sometimes you want to stretch it out some because you grew out some. Although I usually find that hanging makes the arms elongate more then the rest.

All my knit sweaters get folded and put in a drawer.

My "ruined" sweaters come back to life after washing and drying them properly. It's really not the end of the world.

I've never been able to visually determine if someone wearing a sweater hangs it vs folds it. Seems like an unnecessary concern.

Bought a cool shirt but the sleeves are around one “cuff length” too short. Is there anything I can do?

You could also cut the sleeves to make the shirt short sleeved!
