Your very talented. Great work.
That’s beautiful! I hope you work in the visual arts.

Nice! This is awesome!
Now with 1000% less clutter.
I just got confirmation from the artist, Mark Winters, that all of the Meren and Nekusar mats will be signed for the project.
Sad that the shipping costs outside of NA are so steep, would definitely grab one otherwise
Hey neat! It’s just like the picture on the card!
Ugh...I don't need another mat..I've got about 5. But Meren is love, and my first commander.
Anyone know what the circles at the top of the old one were for? I looked up the old one cause of the comments here and I get the section for your deck or commander, but the circles seem pointless.
What's the smaller cut-out Chandra at the bottom?
I got her Liliana one and it's beautiful! And it was super nice that she writes a little note too. 😊
I got the full set and it's in my dining room on a white wall. Really my favorite wall in my house by now <3
Who is the character in the stained glass window? Jaya?
I have all 5 of them 😀 http://imgur.com/gallery/6kSt4zT
I always did love this design for Chandra! (Also, real talk: lots of Becky Lynch vibes from her appearance. Wowza!)
Amazing! Anyone knows where could I get one myself?
how much did u pay?
Jealousy is real
That art is amazing. This is a little off-topic, but has there ever been an official explanation for why Chandra looks so white when her parents are... not?
Who’s ass do I gotta kiss you get one?
Oh snap I need this, and in a nice frame.
This is fantastic, congrats!
What card is this from?
Love reacts only
wait wrong site
I am made of Envy. seriously, run.
Hot diggity damn
Chandra has by far the best art in the cycle in my opinion. Nice catch!
holy crow. That's beautiful.
Where do you go to get her stuff?
There are people that actually like Chandra?
It looks lovely!
Hey man, hope you get better! How did you get into the game? Looks like Tezz is your boy but I think Aurelia of the Boros had some good words for you
"It is not your time. The Legion still has need of your blade!"
Thank you magic and the community. I'm new to the game but two of my nurses play so they have been playing me and keeping my spirits up. I only have one deck but it's a fun blue artifact deck one day I'll get tezz and it'll be a better deck, I love this game and is keeping my spirits up during a time where I'm being told I may not live for a long time.
I hope you get better. Glad the game can bring you some joy in a time when things arent nearly joyful. I hope you continue to get some fun out of the game!!!
Feel better, planeswalker! Blue artifacts is fun :)
I've been playing since i was 13 and can I say this game for me has always been a rock. No matter what, a game of magic is a game of magic, and it will always be fun if you still have the drive to play. Health problems? Play a game with the buds. People got you down? Jam a game after lunch. Its amazing how just a game can give such a break to the shit that is life. I hope you feel better here soon man and I applaud you for staying strong in this time. Peace and keep jamming those game!
Keep them spirits up! Magic can do a lot of things from teaching people to maybe even keeping you well enough
Stay strong Planeswalker
Can a WOTC staff member send this gentleman some product to raise his spirits?
What is it that's afflicting you? Blue-artifacts was my first love as well.
None of those better be a turn 30 Negate
I love how one of the cards is "One With the Machine"...
And he's like, currently hooked up to a machine.
I DON'T MEAN TO BE RUDE I JUST FOUND IT IRONIC I HOPE YOU GET BETTER OP! :C
This might be a bit too forward but if I can get some proof on this story I would definitely send you some magic cards. I know asking for proof is kind of rude but I can send a bunch of stuff over if you are in need, I sent a care package over to a teen who was battling brain cancer last year. If you give me specifics for what you like in magic I could get you a lot of cards.
I feel you, bro. 152 days ago, I was diagnosed with a sever form of leukemia. For those of you who don’t know, it’s a form of cancer in your white blood cells. My symptoms were, and are, way worse than the average patient’s, and all I do to distract myself from the persisting pain of chemotherapy is research mtg finance, new decks, etc. it really works wonders.
Feel better soon, dude.
A man after my own heart! (I play Blue as well) I don't know how to go about getting a mailing address, but I'd love to send some cards from all of us at the store to you to help out with your deck options! (If anyone knows what the protocol for such things is, that would be amazing) And here's hoping for better days ahead, my dude.
HeyBest wishesHope you’re feeling better soon!
Am I the only one that sees Bob from Bob's Burgers in the thumbnail?
That said, best wishes for your health and future!
Remember if there’s a resolved [[laboratory maniac]] to [[counterspell]] [[brainstorm]]
Going through an irl life breakdown atm bud. Sorting through my huge pile of cards I've put off for a while has helped me keep some structure.we will get through our troubles and be the greatest planeswalkers in the multiverse!
Send me your PO box/address and your deck list and I'll send you some cards that fit the deck. Keeping it standard legal I imagine?
Former Duels developer here. We're sorry.
If you played the game every day the soonest you could this achievement is 1 year, 4 months, 1 week, and 6 days.
But it took you 3 years and 9 months, you filthy casual!
JK, good job man.
I hurt myself today
Fucking congrats man. That's awesome.
Were you able to complete any of the quests that required 'vs' mode? i.e. are there enough people still playing multiplayer to do those quests?
Achievement hunter here. This was my favorite one I’ve ever earned. I developed a deep love for the game after playing all the Duels Xbox games as they came out and now I play in paper all the time.
I have every achievement for every DotP game on Xbox now.
Edit: GREAT JOB, TOO.
Was there only ever one daily quest each day?
There's something so beautiful about 100%.
Oh no we have some bad news...
I would play it every three days then collect all the daily quests in one go. I collected all the achievements too. It happened a few months ago, and I’ve been trying to buy all the cosmetics and foil all the cards ever since.
I wonder if Wizards has any plans to help out Duels players get some kind of imported collection on Arena?
Possible good faith reasons they didn't do anything for Duels players yet: (1) Because Duels is still online and they don't want to announce any kind of collection migration because then people would be incentivized to play Duels. (2) Because the duels cards aren't legal or playable on Arena anyway at the moment. This will change someday of course as new formats expand.
Reasons why they really should do something for Duels players. (1) Magic is a game and a brand where you're asked to invest heavily in a collection and to then feel like you have long term ownership over that collection. This is at the core of Magic's brand. (2) To help out Duels players would not cost anything in a material sense. It would cost time/resources of course, but it would be a one-time act where some databases get altered, and some communication gets done. (3) To not help Duels players would erode Magic as a brand and erode the idea that building a Magic collection has some kind of value regardless of what platform you build that collection on. (4) To not do anything for Duels players would feel like players are being punished for trusting a manifestation of Magic which Wizards happened to retire. At best it would mean Wizards doesn't care about the damage to players and to the brand. At worst it would mean they're actively preying on the customers who have invested the most into their endeavor and the game and brand brand it represents.
The fun part is that through incompetence Duels lost achievement progress multiple times, at least on Steam. Took me like six months longer than it should have.
Hello darkness my old friend.
This reminds me that I still have the 500 solo wins achievement to complete. After they discontinued updates, I tried to grind that one before Arena came out but I ended up being in the second wave of invites and got swept up.
I did about five games during the gap between closing the closed beta and opening the open beta, but I just wasn't feeling it. Arena is just a much better client (with a much worse economy).
The XBox One has been out for 3 years already?
So will you stick to Magic Duels or switch to Arena out of curiosity?
Sooo.... 500 days?
Congratulations on getting that last achievement! I just got it on Steam a couple months ago, and haven't looked back. Took a long time, but that 100% looks really nice.Unfortunately my computer isn't great for running Arena, so I'm waiting until next year sometime to give it a shot.
Whoa Dude, thats too legit to quit!
Congrats! That is also one of my achievements for a trophy case, I had never played Magic before this game and getting that achievement was a lot of fun. On the other hand, the 500 single player matches was a horrible grind, that was the latest for me.
Resume material right here.
It sucks they never put this on ps4. I use to play the xbox360 one all the time
It's achievements like this that stop me from caring about getting 100% on games.
Anything locked behind a timewall, paywall, or online play is ridiculous. Timewall includes playing 5000 matches with "X" when a match could last 30 minutes. Double if you have to wait in online lobbies for a match to even start.
What's your favorite deck? (also can you describe it, I don't recall them all).
Congratulations much respect
Great work! Super impressed.
Huh is there only 1 quest a day?
Impressive work but the game has been basically dead for almost as long
Let me tell you a story or a little program called Magic Arena...
That's a neat touch!
I googled Mount Jersey Games to see if they were possibly near me to check out, but got no hits. I hope things go well for him! We need more sellers like this.
(I hope you left feedback.)
And you posted on reddit. Effort paying off already!
Ok. I need to order from there. THAT is a nice hello, and I wish I had ever had cards shipped like that.
I ordered from him too and was really curious to receive my cards like that tho my wife thought it was from another woman. rolf, S
I forgot to add the front of the card!
I got a note with my last Mox Opal I bought and apparently the store name of Selling Collection was true. Dude wished me good luck with the Opal and that it performed for me as well as it had for him.
I looked on his store front and there weren't any more cards I needed but it was sweet. :)
Here's a little tip instead of putting a piece of tape by itself on the toploader, just wrap a penny sleeve over the top opening and then tape front and back - this way the card doesn't come out and also doesn't get tape residue or stick to the card
When I was trying to build reputation on TCG, I included notes like these albeit a bit more brief. If the sale was between prerelease and official release of a new set, I would also throw in a random uncommon from prerelease. I think people liked getting cards before they could get them otherwise.
Good customer service
I have an urge to give that guy a big hug.
I got one of these awesome, made me happy, be sure to feedback them!
Yeah who is this guy? I want to buy an Assassin's Trophy from him.
This is one thing that I love about some of the communities I'm in. The Patch community is often giving gifts, writing notes, doing trades, and all kinds of things. There's even fundraiser sales and "Dogpiles" to get people their grails, in which people will contribute patches and money to get the desired patch. The Lolita (clothing) community is often great for it too, giving gifts, handwritten notes; hell, they even go out of their way to save the bags and wrapping from the various "Brand" stores.
I'm glad to see personal touches like this aren't lost in such a huge group.
That hurts my hand just imagining needing to write that message in every order :o
I received a personalized letter from the sellers called “Venser’s Journal”. They’ve included a letter each time thanking me for shopping with them. They’re the only store I order from through TCG.
It’s the little things.
I’d be excited if I got my orders within the first 2 weeks from the randoms on TCGplayer
Every now and then the magic community still surprises me with its capability of niceness. Reminds me why I really like playing.
I got something like that a few weeks ago from an outside vendor. Really nice they did that, because of it I only get stuff from there now
I haven’t ordered many cards yet I’ve gotten a few things like this
Thats one really big stamp
Now I feel bad about sending that exact same card out earlier with nothing but a sleeve, toploader, and cardboard protection. Maybe I should write some messages. Then again, I'm not a shop owner and don't have enough stuff for sale to want my name to be spread as a seller.
That's a nice touch. I usually just wrap the hard case in a sheet of paper and jot a quick "Thanks!" when I sell cards.
when I sold cards online I'd write very similar notes to my customers. the difference between having a 5 star rating and 4 star can be huge in this industry. I know I personally order from 5 star vendors on tcgplayer.
I have received tons of notes like that in europe
I know where I'm going for my next singles fix. I saw they have a nice arena rector that I might snatch up.
Hey all!Couldn't believe my eyes when I saw this post on here.My buddy and business partner (who saw this post trending and almost died) and I decided to buy a Core 19 box this summer, and we figured it'd be cool to try to get a couple bucks for the cards we didn't have a need for. Then, it turned into buying boxes a little more often, and we now see the potential of buying boxes and turning them around (after, of course, pulling out what we'd like for our own collections!)
I'm new to the game -- started playing in July -- but now I really do realize how much fun it is to play. We're just a couple college kids spending our little bit of free time (and extra few dollars) doing this. I appreciate all of the feedback you left, and the kinds word as well -- we'll be sure to take this feedback into account. This week is a bit hectic, but we're hopefully going to crack some packs next week to update inventory. We weren't sure if we'd stick with the greeting card approach for mailing cards (we really just wanted to get to the 51 feedback mark, when we'd be able to not charge a shipping rate regardless of the amount of cards in an order), but now I think we'll have to stick with it. The greeting card that OP received was from a large collection of extra greeting cards my mom has acquired over the years -- my understanding is that her brother worked for a company that was just going to throw them away otherwise. It's all about using what you got, people!
Here's (https://imgur.com/a/9LwY6Ma) some pictures of other cards we've sent out for proof. I've had this Reddit account since 2012 (I believe), but haven't really used it until recently. We weren't sure if it would mean anything taking these pictures, but I sure am glad we started. We often talk about how cool it'll be once cards have reached all 50 states, and all U.S. territories!
I’ve actually gotten quite a few of these throughout my years of online card purchases. I bought a Japanese Snapcaster from Japan once & the seller shipped me a fridge magnet from Tokyo with it!
It absolutely made my day! Especially since Tokyo is one of my favourite cities to visit.
someone blast "buy" at his shop
Am I the only one who thought it said "Love Jerry" the first time through?
Props to you OP, and the shop that sent it.
Yo if I had money and they have some Gobbos, I’d order from this seller right now.
I send pretty much this exact message with everything I sell on swappa.
Should send him back a card that says "Nice, now where's my free token?"
Really? I get notes all the time like that from sellers on tcgplayer. Well, the ones that arent in the tcg direct program (since tcg themselves sends those orders out).
lol yea, it's a nice gesture, but this seller definitely is a low feedback user. He taped the open side of the toploader, but also if he wants to build feedback then he should be starting with lower value cards to secure more purchases; not starting with a $20+ card in Assassin's Trophy. Coopenhagen, that was very brave of you to buy such a card from a low feedback user and have it arrive; not everyone is so lucky.
After this seller has sold his 100th card, he will get so sick of hand-written messages, lol.
Not to nitpick, but I really want sellers to exercise more caution with the tape on the top of the hard case. Cards shift in the mail, and I've had more than a few get caught on the tape. Feels real bad having to do micro surgery on a Serra's Sanctum where tape is threatening to pull off the top border ink.
All you need to do is load the card in the hard case upside down in a penny sleeve so the penny sleeve is the only thing that can touch the tape.
The cynic in me says you are the shop owner
That tape job though
i dunno, i think this is a little weird personally
not really looking for a buddy when i order singles
That’s honestly the worst handwriting I’ve ever seen. Seems like a good guy tho.
No way, I prefer my 20+ dollar NM cards to be shipped in a penny sleeve, with plenty of excess wear and binder creases, inside of a standard envelope. Like we have come to expect.
This is beautiful. If I didn’t have to sell my EDH deck to pay for a wedding I’d look to have my card done this way as well.
[[Mayael, the Anima]]
Looks great, though imo it's just a tad disingenuous of the alter artist to paint over the original artist's name and then sign it themself when they are extending the original art.
Fully customized art, I couldn't care less, but the original artist's work is still front and center of this piece.
Isn't it insulting to paint over the artist's name then sign on top of it? In my opinion it looks bad. The difference between the original and the new is too jarring. The flowers in the original piece look beautiful and strong, while the new ones look deformed. It looks a bit rushed.
That is gorgeous looking. I approve!
She's my go-to commander. Absolutely beautiful
One of my favorite cards, this looks great!
Would consider removing the azcanta entirely or cutting it down to 1. With 15 creatures, your chances of whiffing are pretty high
To me Electromancer in that deck seems like overkill. Your spells are relatively cheap already and having 4 additional spells would benefit you more I think than having a cost reducer. Top decking on an empty board an Electromancer could be worse than something else.
22 lands and 3 Niv Mizzett won’t work out as well as you’d like. Try cutting one for a land.
Remove the 4 electromancers for either Guttersnipes, Shocks, or 4 more counter spells. OR 4 Risk Factors.
Reason being is you can pump up your Drake's with more instants and sorceries in the graveyard or exile, use shocks to eliminate early game threats while buffing your Drakes, or add in damage and card draw with Risk Factors which play off NivMizzet and add more synergy.
Your Electromancers are not that great even late game and if they're able to trade away drakes you may not be able to finish up late game without some added burn spells.
To put it simply, if you had just 1 Drake out on turn 3 and by turn 6 had used a Lightning Strike and Risk Factor to drop their health by 7, you'd easily have a Drake that is within 2 shotting your opponent from there winning a mid-range match up easily which I've done with just two Drake's each 8/4.
The NivMizzet late game burn up is a big combo as well allowing you to take a person down in an OTK if you have a Guttersnipe on board. Two Guttersnipes on board gives you the 2 Lightning Strike Shock OTK.
Electromancers are kinda dead as late game you'll fuel your instants and sorceries no problem and won't be using them to attack.
Risk Factor has my vote for added card draw or damage. Side Board essence Scatters or Sinister Sabotage over the Fireminda research. In my experience Firemind is too slow in aggro matchups and your Drake's aren't going to win you control matchups if they're playing white (you can't attack essentially) but Guttersnipe not needing to attack is nasty there.
I'm playing around with a list running 4 crackling drakes and 1 Niv Mizzet as the only creatures. This way I have enough spells to fuel my drakes (and crackling drake is superior to the other one). I started out with electromancers but they turned out to e pretty bad so I cut them. Niv Mizzet is a great finisher too, but I'm not sure if you want 3. You usually only want to cast it late game when you have extra mana open to cast spells. Also try fitting a Banefire in the list somewhere (I run one in the main), it's a great finisher against control where you end up with tons of mana in play.
I think you should rethink how you view drake, do you want it to go super large and one shot your opponent? If So more removal and a 1-2 copies of maximize velocity are things you want to do.
Do you want to use it as tempo? If so I think you would rather use the wizards package to Tempo your opponent to death and run 1-2 copies of drake a curve topper for your finish.
Currently it looks like your leaning towards a more control combo style for drake so I think you should down your copies of drake and go up on spells to help you not die to creatures on board. My reccomendations would be to cut some of your enigma drakes and try to slot in more removal such as essence scatter, maybe a beacon bolt as a 1 of, and maybe a singleton Ral to help fuel the grave, and maybe a copy or two of sinister sabotage.
I've played against decks like this quite a bit on arena.
I absolutely hate it, maybe it's just the client but Niv is just tedious to deal with.
But on a serious note, the deck seems really strong. if you make it late, not much can stop you.
Electromancers are just... ew...
Mission briefing? Two spells for one
This is my list. Take it as you will https://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/izzet-spells-grn-standard/?cb=1539548904
Think this deck definitely wants 3 mana Sarkhan.
The Arclight Phoenix version is a really slick deck. I've been testing against it this week, and I'm impressed.
Here's a list for reference:
Electromancer might just be giving people removal targets.
I played something similar last xpac. Without card a ton of card draw your gonna find yourself with nothing to case too often. Also I was only running 8 creatures and still found myself flooded with creatures with little to no spells
I’d start off by cutting 4 Electromancer, 1 Niv-Mizzet, and 1 Expansion for something like 4 Shock, 1 Dive Down, and 1 Ral, Izzet Viceroy. I’d also like to cut Firemind’s Research for the sideboard for more Dive Down and maybe some Banefires.
I really like Thud for a finisher in decks like this
I'm having lots of fun with a similiar deck that mostly relies on quasiduplicate and guttersnipe
I dunno dude, is it 8 drake?
How does this deck fight against mono red aggro? Besides one 3-of sweeper in the sideboard
What are the electromancers for? There's barely anything in here they hit. Ionize and Insight are the best things to see with them and that's a pretty weak payoff for a 4-of.
It's a competitive archetype. Hard to screw up.
As most people have said, I would drop the Electromancers. I would also run at least 24 lands and some number of risk factor. With the jump start cards you can really mitigate the games where you flood by pitching lands. It also might be worth dropping Azcanta and running 3/3 split of Opt and Radical Idea. If you really wanna stick with Azcanta I would run Radical Idea instead of Opt cuz its an extra card Azcanta can Surveil away that still has a use. This could also have some decent synergy with Mission Briefing instead of Azcanta.
I guess what I'm saying is that I would lean more into jump start if I were running a deck like this.
Cut Electromancers for Sarkhans. Synergy with Niv mizzet.
Why is no one running gutter snipes in these lists?
Probably worst out of UR decks avaible in standard.
You have 12 creatures that are useless without spells with only 21 spells. And only 17 that will stay in graveyard. In your place I would go into counterburn version.
That’s not a lot of instants and sorceries for an “instant and sorceries” matters deck.
Yes. IIRC, the part you cut off at the bottom had an expire date.
Do you have the proof of purchase receipt
Yeah, it's too late. You can check out https://mtg.gamepedia.com/HarperPrism to see what your could have received back in 1994.
Send it anyway and see what happens!
Send them all your bulk
8-10 WEEKS?? Geez
Damn bummer I’d try and send it in anyway they might think it’s funny and give you free shit anyway
Fun fact: I sent in the receipt to get Giant Badger but didn’t bother to do the Mana Crypt one
