Tobias is Queen Mary
I remember someone posted this photo in the past. I hope your the same person.
You probably aren't looking for feedback, but I would have preferred the ship to be in focus before the cables. They are strong leading lines that draw focus to... a generic blurry ship.
I had a dream last night that this reminds me of, I was with some pirate homies and we were stranded swimming in the ocean at night almost looked like this and swam all the way to a bayside town with pirate ships.
Freaking awesome shot!
That’s pretty cool!
WAAAAOOO!!! This is sooo effin good!! I love pictures like these ... the weird but beautiful lay out. It’s amazing, good job!
Makes me want to pull on it!

I live in southern cali and I have that same pic on a memory card somewhere. I don't think I caught the lights on though! Lucky!

Not a professional photographer but followed sub to learn more..This has great perspective and depth. Well done!
Literally just listened to the Lore podcast about the queen Mary about 5 minutes ago, then got on here and saw this.... Weird!!
I dont know how to execute this idea but it would be pretty cool to make that ship into a apartment complex. It just be super interesting and a great way to draw people in with the waterfront apartment or condos. But it might be more money then its worth.
England’s monarch looks old
Would you share your EXIF data?To me it looks like a long exposure shot at F22 where the movement of the ship makes it go out of focus.
My brothers girlfriend works at the Queen Mary, that place is awesome
I always find it grandiose when you shoot a distant subject but keep the focus on a close detailed object that comes almost into the camera lens.
I’m getting 3 ninjas grandpa sneaks onto Snyder’s boat vibes with this one.
Way better than the first version! That focus stacking worked well!
I know there seems to be some debate over "ship or cables" in focus, but I like this interpretation. We all know it's a ship, but in this case, the that doesnt feel as important. It feels dreamy and abstract to have shape and color be the focus and less about what's in it. I like that the cables start off immediately being the draw, and they have an interesting shape and vibe. And your eyes are pulled along to where they meet the white lights at the top and going back. All the in between colors and such create an interesting setting for it all. Maybe it's ok the ship is less focused. Maybe it's not about the ship, but the feeling.
People lose sight sometimes that photography can be implemented the same way as abstract art. Not all the best paintings are photo realistic. Photography can be impressionist in the same way as Monet's garden can. Keep that in mind. Listen to critique if it helps, but don't forget it's ok to see the world differently
Isn’t this ship supposed to be super haunted or is that just a thing to attract you to it?
Amazing pic! Did you stay a night on the ship?
Actually, you took a picture of the cables holding the boat 😏
Great picture of the queen Mary very nice

The ship isn't even in focus lol

I can never decide if I want the foreground or background in focus in this kind of shot
