Me reading about Shirley and her cake business: Shirley, you’re not allowed to have “baking things” as an identity!
wait i’m invested, what was the outcome with shirley and her cakes when jeff decided to no longer let her use the ovens when he bought the restaurant from pierce.
Does Shirley Chang Jeff's mind? We need answers!

RAA, Adelaide... Hello fellow South Australian.
as if Jeff would go that close to bread
Can you post more of these?
Also, how does it end? Does Abed come in to fix it all? I need answers preferably in a three section plotline.
The funniest part about this is Pierce doing something nice for someone else
I would argue that because there was no privity of contract between Shirley and Jeff, Shirley has no standing to enforce the contract. Further, there is no clause in the contract between Jeff and Pierce that states how long Shirley's usage of the ovens would stand. Therefore, that clause in the contract may be deemed void for vagueness and unenforceable.
However, contracts was over 10 years ago. I could have just Britta'd that whole thing.
Yooooo I did contracts last year and we had this question too aha.
Here's more 'cases' as promised.https://imgur.com/a/XKd5LnP
What school is this
By the case above it, looks like they’re into Veronica Mars as well. Good taste!
What other shows have been used?
Your school sounds cool.
It was agreed upon i. Contract form when Pierce sold the business. So if he doesnt follow through on the 3 months then she would have a case.
Yuck when I click on this to zoom in it makes it YUCK.
I believe the notice Jeff served would count as the beginning of the 3-month termination period. So, Shirley should still have legal access to the ovens for the next 90 days. Jeff wouldn't be allowed to start his bread-making business until that term was up.
Did I get it right? Am I a lawyer now?
Does anyone else feel this set isn't complete without... Magnitude?
You Britta'd your collection
So, since some of y'all aren't up on this Funko set, they are releasing Britta as an exclusive at New York Comic Con this week. I've seen Britta listed for pre-order for $60, which is ridiculous considering the rest of these were less than that combined.
I realize it's a long shot, but if anyone is attending, I'd be more than happy to pay for whatever Britta costs you plus shipping.
Also, as far as I'm aware, there is no Pierce (it wouldn't surprise me if Chevy wouldn't license his likeness for show-related merch considering how they left things) or anyone else from the show. It's surprising that Chang got one and not the Dean. That said, Chang's is honestly one of the best of the bunch, with his ridiculous tiger striped paintball gun.
I didn't even know these existed until about two weeks ago, and I'd really love to add Britta to finish the set.
Gettin' rid of Britta
You’ll be able to get it outside the con itself.
Ah yes, Britta did live in New York.
You really Britta'd that collection up.
Troy and Abed being normal
Britta’s the worst...
What about pierce, and who’s that on the right?
Is that Chang or just Ken Jeong from The Hangover...
I'm not going NYCC but I am going London MCM Comic Con 25th-27th October. Funko normally have a giant stall there so I could look for you then if nobody can get it for you in New York?
Why does Jeff have a mustache? Does Jeff have a mustache? Oh my God, Jeff has a mustache!
Why? She's the pizza burn on the roof of the world's mouth.
As far as I know there’s no funko pop of Britta and... magnitude
Anyone know if NYCC will have Pierce as well? Also wonder if they'll release a Dean Pelton one as well.
Would be cool if we could get some love for the season 5 and 6 gang like Elroy, Franky, Hickey, and Duncan
No Pierce? Or Ice Cube Head?
The Chang one is hilarious.
Where is Pierce?
The dean? Pierce?Edit: oh wait I read the comments.
Oh, Britta’s in this?
Where is the homie Chang at?
She'll just wruin the collection dude, just like everything
No Pierce, no Dean. :(
What about pierce and the dean?!
Soon you'll have the full set of plastic landfill
I need a second wave of these
No dean? No Pierce? No Starburns?!
Glorious. I love how misleading the poster is... as if Chang is an authority figure, Jeff is always up to his lying, playboy ways that for some reason kind of impresses Britta (and Pierce?), and the others are just... off in the background, with a... bicycle? So many good times with that bicycle.
Oh man, I just watched the Pilot and the Finale back-to-back and it was quite an experience. The transformation was stunning but the heart was the same. What a fun, inventive, creative, non-compromising, charming and heartfelt ride this show was. So many great people came together to create such a great show. And we got Annie Edison, too.
Who knew that Paintball would lead to the highest grossing film of all time?
Perfect day to announce the movie
I still can't count the reasons I should stay!
"For Greendale" on three. One, two...
And I was never the same ever again.Never has a show impacted me as much as Community has, and still is. I watch it once through at least once a year.
Yes, this is the cool cool cool cool cool coolest show ever.*pew pew*
My, how time flies.
I hope there's a PaleyFest type panel that's been done secretly with the cast (OG and new) for the 10th Anniversary like they had for Parks and Rec recently. That'd be so fucking amazing
Study group women only. Classic Winger.
I was just starting college then and didn't even know about the show for years since I didn't have cable and I don't even know if it was on Hulu back then (probably good since it would have made a good excuse to stay in rather than meeting people). Then in a few short years it would become and remain my favorite show.
A fucking decade.
I don’t really think I can express just how much this show has meant to me over the years.
But let me try.
I was there from just about the beginning, the first scene of Community I ever saw was Chang’s introduction, initially drawn to the screen by thoughts of “Hey, isn’t that the guy from the Hangover?” and “Oh my god that’s Donald Glover from Derrick Comedy”. Immediately, I was hooked, and from that day on I would watch every episode live, and then many more times then I care to admit during the week while I waited for the next episode. I must have watched the paintball episode a dozen times the week it aired. There was no question, I was well and truly obsessed, and after the season ended, I checked online every day, praying for news of a second season.
Shortly after the second season began, I discovered this subreddit, and while I mainly lurked, I thoroughly enjoyed reading everyone’s reactions to the episodes. The only people I knew who watched Community irl were friends I had introduced the show to, so it was incredible to find a whole online community of people who were just as crazy about it as I was that I could share the experience with.
And we experienced a lot together. I remember waiting with crossed fingers for the hope of a third season, the desperate fan attempts to save the show, the absolute pandemonium when #sixseasonsandamovie showed up on screen at the end of season three, the celebration when season four was announced, the outrage when we found out Dan wouldn’t be in charge of it, and so much more.
This is a special show, and this community made it all the more special. I don’t use reddit much anymore, and even when I did, I didn’t comment much, but I felt like I had to come back to this subreddit today and say something.
At least it was here.
Watching season 1. The Dean's Secretary says "Secretary is a degrading term towards my gender... anyway I help the Dean do officey things." I fucking love this show.
I remember hulu shoving ads for this show down my throat the couple weeks leading up to the pilot airing... Hulu was awesome back then, free and airing shows the next morning... but anyways, never been happier to listen to an ad in my life.
I had a mild interest In the promotions for the show before it came on. I didn’t understand it’s angle until Jeff said “I discovered at a very early age that if I talk long enough, I can make anything right or wrong. So either I'm God or truth is relative. In either case, booyah.” I thought about that one line for days. That one line was the equivalent of reading a life-altering book for me. This show has made me rethink all my relationships as well as analyze myself more. I recommend it to anyone who asks.

Community is like the Office Space of television. The networks never knew how to market it, just like the movie studios had no clue how to market Office Space.
This poster is interesting because it really tells you nothing about the show or why it's so great.
Donald Glover waaaay in the background. Ha.
I went to my first spanish lesson today. I should have started a study group
Oh come on, my forehead is not that big.
Looking back, it’s not difficult to see why Community had such an impact on me. I was 19 at the time, one and a half years into college that would eventually become seven years and dropping out. To be perfectly blunt, I started watching the show because I thought Alison Brie was incredibly attractive. Little did I know the ride I was in for.
When I first discovered it, Community was on its extended mid-third-season hiatus that everyone was panicking about at the time. I saw the break as an excellent opportunity to catch up. And I did. Very quickly. Needless to say I loved the show and its characters. And as a nerd with Asperger’s and few friends, I often felt myself longing for a group of companions from school that I could hang out with, much like the study group.
Community is such an important show to me. It was a special coalescing of equally special people to create one of the greatest and most unique sitcoms of all time.
Six seasons and a movie.
There are only a few shows that I can watch over and over again. This is one.
The Sarah Silverman Program is another. Harmon, Schrab, et. al. can do some great things.
I hope to see more of their unique humor soon.
Mastering the B.S. degree at community college
My emotions! MY EMOTIONS!!
I remember it like it was 10 years ago.
I still remember watching the pilot 10 years ago. I was in College at the time (Holy shit time flies) and was going to watch mainly for Chevy Chase. I really liked it right away but throughout that first season it consistently solidified itself as my favorite comedy of all time.
In 2013 I went to the Community Season 5 panel at Comic Con and just a few days ago I visited LACC where the first season was filmed. I love this show
What a time to be alive
If I were just going by that poster I would have expected it to be some shitty NBC sitcom that would get cancelled after ten episodes.
Also interesting how Chang got such a central position on the poster. I guess they were really banking on his fame as "naked Chinese man" from The Hangover.
Are you telling me Archer and Community aired on the same date?!
Oh - both Archer and Community aired for the first time 10 years ago today! Nice, both rank very high among my favorite shows of all time - wasn’t aware of the coincidence
The Fact that my favorite tv show started on my Birthday at my birth time like how astonishing is that
Huh, I literally finished the show today, so that's pretty funny in itself. The later season weren't as good as the first three, but I still enjoyed them. I'm going to miss the cast though.
Where’s the movie at?
OMG, I didn't know my favourite show aired on my birthday!
I wish I watched it as it aired episode by episode.
Funny how the characters in the background are now more famous then the ones in the foreground lol
And I just finished the series finale again for the umpteenth time. The show just gets bette with every rewatch. Even with the later seasons, they kept things fresh.
It's so weird how the poster has Chevy Chase and Ken Jeong as front-and-center, versus the three actors that have been in billion dollar movies are in the background
That's October 19!
Miss this show......
It hurts, it hurts.
On my birthday my favourite show came out S2
It's cool that this year is also Monty Python's 50th.
Community premiered closer to 9/11 than to the present day.
Yup, time for a rewatch...
Wow, 10 years. My only show that I actually watched the original pilot live all the way through to the end on Yahoo. Every other show I can think of I caught in the second or third season. But I was there from the beginning with Community. And it's special.
I loved this show. Still do. Remember the end of Season 3, when the show looked so close to cancellation that the season finale ended with the musical montage in case they were the show's final scenes? Today, right now, just thinking about the fadeout to the screen reading "sixseasonsandamovie" leaves me wondering who is cutting onions in here.
This poster definitely ain't woke...
I vividly remember watching this. I’d just landed in the US (the first of many trips there) to visit my girlfriend’s family. To avoid jet lag, I was determined to stay up until a reasonable hour (I landed at 5am).
I saw Chevy Chase was mentioned in the “coming up” blurb and tuned in, but was so exhausted I passed out.
Didn’t think about the show again until a year later, when I was working in a call centre and one of the teams had the paintball episode playing.
Took me another six months (and a move to South Korea) before I committed to watching the show. Best decision I ever made - as it’s far and away my favourite show of all time.
For such a smart and meta show the one thing I always forget about Community is how good of a premise it has. A hotshot lawyer lies and cheats his way through community college with a ragtag gang of misfits. NBC must have been drooling over that
Netflix do your thing.
Community and Archer on the same day. What a day.
Community has created exactly that out its fans: a community.
I feel instantly closer and connected on some level to anyone I meet who is fond of this show.
I just have to jump in here to say that this is my favorite show of all time. I wasn't there for the first airing of this show, but boy I still love it. Every watch through brings something new I haven't noticed before. Thank you, community. I love you. Happy ten years!
Man they just didn't even care to try to make the shadows right by the bike.
One side of the poster is very Anglo and the other side is not
I’llnever forget the first time I saw Community. Was chilling in the living room at my buddies bro house by York university, at least 6 of us watching and I felt so good I made the cringe comment that it felt “like a family moment” between all of us X,D
I’m in the middle of a rewatch of the whole series. So much nostalgia. So damn funny. Love this show.
I feel old.
I've got a pocket full of Hawthornes.
[Looks at hands]
Like tears in rain...
Donald Glover and Allison Brie, who will end up being the biggest stars to come out of this show, tucked in the back. It’s crazy when that happens. Like how Chris Pratt was supposed to be a guest star on Parks and Recreation, but they ended up making him a main cast member. Now he’s the biggest of all of them.
This show is still awesome a decade later
Wow they really pushed Chang (Ken Jeong) for marketing putting him on the center foreground and all.
GIVE ME YOUR HANDS, SHOW ME THE DOOR
Omg I hate that network.
I see your value now.
That's just Jeff's idea of how Todd is, not actually Todd. Though it's probably based on some of the weird behaviour we see of Todd in Season 6.
I always thought of this line as a reference to Shirley's line in the pilot about adults getting their faces pushed through jukeboxes. He's sitting in the right spot for it.
ahhh the new Todd problem
What if HE’s God?!
The writing on the whiteboard leads to Keith David’s IMDb page.
Just started watching the show last year. Was getting discouraged after S3, and was crawling to the end. But the “Jim” line reminded me of what I love about the show.
Who else has self-esteem falling out of their butt?
It's time to chang your point of view.
Abed... You're a god
I agree with Brown Jamie Lee Curtis
The line is "what you like about yourself," not "what you like by yourself."
Can someone tell me which season and ep this is from? Thanks!
Yeah I'm not down with this philosophy at all.
Abed, you're a God
Love this quote but he looks kinda derpy in that 2nd shot
Why can’t I be brown Joey?
You're working for Staples? ;)
But I thought that bandit only struck during school hours? :P
I'm so sorry for your loss.
Also I am sorry for your loss - I live in terror of breaking ours, it is precious cargo
I’m crying for u
