Many people in the world live closer to an American military base than one from their own country.
There are more in Germany
Huh. If I were a patriotic American and saw this I would be like "hell yeah". If I were vehemently against American patriotism and saw this, I would be like "this is my point exactly!"

Most of those aren't "US bases" they're foreign bases with US personnel on them, and there's dozens of bases in the US with foreign personnel on them. Hell, I'm on Ft Meade and there's 5 Royal Army (UK) officers in the corner space across from me...
There's also only a single UK nuclear base, HMNB Clyde.
1/10, would not recommend again.
Wait, did Sweden just annex half of Denmark?
What the hell is that map of the non existing Denmark-Swedish land border?.. You americans. You silly americans.
I know this is a moto sub but this meme is fairly dumb. We don’t actually own the vast majority of the bases overseas but just maintain the largest presence. Lakenheath isn’t Lakenheath AFB but is RAF Lakenheath.
As such, there are multiple bases in the US with huge NATO populations. Holloman AFB has a massive German Air Force presence as an example.
Too bad, there is no US military base in France.
Try again with an actual map.
That’s what happens when you decide to start 2 World Wars.
TIL we have a military base in Kosovo
We got bases in Russia?
Germany has training bases in Holloman AFB and Pensacola NAS.
Italy has bases at Elgin and Sheppard AFB.
Netherlands has a base at Tucson ANG Station.
Singapore has bases at Mountain Home and Luke AFB.
They are all training bases, but their flags still fly over them.
Do you ever just set up military bases to flex on people?
It walks like empire... It quacks like empire... But it's officially not empire...
Yay free defense! Thanks America! !!
If you are planning to start another world war, could you do it someplace other than Europe? Two was enough, thanks.
You are missing a few in the map. For example Suda base in Greece.
Yeah, well, when they start saving our asses, they can build one. Until then, Murica.
There's a lot more bases in Europe then that. LOL.
That’s what ya get when you are back to back World War champs.
We dont need other military bases.... we the people ARE the military bases here.
After the last elections, the military bases in the United States are considered russian.
You sort of need a military to have military bases... just saying...
this map is missing plenty. the island of Crete has a US military base..
When u bail out Europe two times from world domination, a base or two shouldn’t hurt :)
But what’s even better, Copenhagen is part of Sweden now!
Hah, you can’t touch Sweden!
Where is Sigonella?
There are no US military bases or nato bases in france... calling bs!
It's missing the base in Souda, Crete
Not in France.
Akchually, theres some germans and Brits stationed in Nevada to test planes and such.
Interesting I thought Belarus was anti-russian.
Can I get an Id on the meme template for this? The guy holding his cheeks looks familiar....
I think the Cold War may have played a role in this
Das right motherfuckers!
Gotdam we’re so fucking sovereign.
I see we’re not big fans of Eisenhower in this sub
England and Germany have more than that.
Huh, nothing in Poland
Awesome to the max
Where's the three naval bases in Sicily?
America Fuck Yeah
Yeah man. What, is Croatia going to help us when Canada invades?
But America is predominantly populated by the descendants of European invaders... Caucasian sleeper cells. Just waiting to be reactivated to start invading other countries or rounding up "illegals" at a moment's notice...
America is just the largest covert European military base in history.
The trigger word is... "COMMIES!"
all that wasted money protecting and providing security for god damned commies
A reminder of who’s really in charge... just sayin’
Those little shits always start shit.
Number of world wars started in Europe, number of world war started in America!
Now that I think about it, ive never seen a non american military base in America.
a few French or British military bases in Amarica would be nice to help keep us safe
better us than the chinese
Russian puppets as country leaders: 1
That's the after effect of world war 2 as well as the agreements and treaties that came along with the end of the war.
It wasn't fought on US soil so obviously there's no foreign bases in the US. But when world war 3 happens on US soil, you bet there will be. Just wait
They had to differentiate between foreign bases with and without nukes lmao
Because we fight for them, I think.
Actually, the US is just a British military base.
are we the baddies?
nah the other countries like us there/s
American Power 😁
That's because we don't need them to stay together.
Ah yes, unsubstantiated "facts". MURICA
Im pretty sure one day, some country somewhere is going to get sick of America's shit..
The way it should be. Europe needs to be reminded to know its place.
All that power and you still don’t know when to put down the cheeseburgers
Whose NATO nukes are those in Germany?
Perry! Fuck yeah freedom more like it.
Congratulations! Welcome aboard!
Why we never run out of Americans.
You couldn’t marry into being a citizen? Dayum
Wow so excited you're eating the card /s bold move welcome my fellow 'Merican
What is with the colors. Do they represent the tonnage of individual ship types?
Must be a pretty liberal definition of 'aircraft carrier' if Thailand and some others are included at all.
USA! USA! USA!
So I don’t know shit about military tactics and stuff, but wouldn’t carriers be really close to being obsolete because of missile technology? Wouldn’t just one or two cruise missiles or some sort of orbital missile take out a carrier instantly?
That's a big ole dick!
15 new stealth anti-ship ship missiles and and we're out trillions.
Is anyone else even trying?
But can’t spend a penny on health care we are all morons.
But Saturns aren’t made in America, right?
Any city in the south
Need to add “still exists today.”
Playing the long game here, folks.
people dont seem to get how far away the moon is. You can fit several earths between us and the moon, hence why we won. We went the farthest anyone has ever went by a 100×, because we wanted to prove our worth. And we did, as the space race was the nail that finished the house that cemented us as the world's leading superpower.
And we put a flag on it. Its ours.
I mean it was the ultimate goal
Just because you start the race first doesn’t mean you’ll be the first to the finish line
Here's a perspective.
Yuri Gagarin (1961): First man in space orbiting at 176 nmi apogee.
Neil Armstrong (1969): First man on moon at 207,560 nmi.
Armstrong traveled 1,180 times deeper into space in 8 years.
