Did it sit like a brick in your belly?
Wow. Are the legos on the cake edible? I know the crane isn't. And congratulations!(?) Your wedding?
That looks fucking awesome!

woah, you are supposed to wait till they finish construction being on a construction site like that is not safe.
Inb4 fondant hate train.
must have been a gay wedding
The fondant hate crew will be arriving shortly.
It's so hard for me to believe you can eat something that looks that much like a geode! Great job! What does it taste like? How difficult was it to make?
that looks like the riskiest fleshlight i've ever seen
Would you mind posting the recipe or sending it to me? That looks amazing; my daughter loves geodes and would enjoy the fuck out of that.
Rockbiter stuck his finger in my cake
First thought without reading Title "I would totally lick that rock" lol
Don't let Walter white see this.
WOAH. Wonder what color your mouth turns after eating this.... looks good though!
This is so beautiful I'd feel guilty eating it
Where'd you get the recipe from?
That looks amazing. If I would ever buy that, I wouldn't even eat it, I'd just admire it all day. IT LOOKS TOO GOOD TO EAT IT!
That looks amazing!
Jesus Christ Marie,
It's really cool how you were able to blend two really trendy decorations. A lot of people, when they try to do that, go overboard and it looks bad because they tried too hard. Your cake makes the two elements (glaze/geode) build on each other and add to the overall aesthetic of the cake! Great work!
Scrolling through I didn't even realize this was good at first.... Looks like art!
I haven't tasted anything like that before, but I bet it's delicious. One please
Post to r/mineralporn they'll love it
That looks amazing. I'm guessing your kids were very happy.
I've not seen a cake like that before. My kids loved geodes when little, so I would really like to make this for my son for his birthday. Can you please post the recipe or a link to something as a reference? Much appreciated :-)
Super creative and wildly beautiful. Excellent work, Jeeves.
I'm sorry. I'll leave.
Belongs in an art museum...beautiful work of art !
I assume the taste equls the looks !
Sorry but I feel like the rocks protruding around the edge kind of ruin it since a cross-section of a geode always shows the distinct layers where the outside is actually completely smooth like a normal rock...
Nice try though.
Any meaning behind that number, or is it just odd to make people upset
do you really want to count kimbap as sushi
why did you only make sushi for 1 person, when there are like 15 people there? yu barstard >:C
But who's counting? Looks great
What's the quantity of ingredients you used?
oooh I wish I was your friend
Howd you keep the early stuff fresh/not dry?
How many years' salary did that cost you?
Amazing job nonetheless!
Where do you source your fish?
Would love some via fed ex
All of it please, for home delivery
OP: "I spent five fucking hours on this, everybody BACK AWAY from the table so I can take a fucking photo!!"
Looks awesome, I bet all your friends were happy campers
that is A LOT of sushi
481 sushis please.
That looks like an amazing party in the making!
Now I just want to eat salmon nigiri until I get ill.
We should be friends.
Looks amazing! I wish I had those skills
I see my portion, where's everyone else's food?
How do I get invited?????????? Please OP, I need more friends that understand the value of sushi.
I don't have the time, patience, or skill to even imagine doing this. I'm glad someone can though cause it looks absolutely stunning. 11/10 OP.
Oh man so dope. Wish i had a friend or family willing to bust out a sushi feast mad props to you
Can we be friends?
But how many rolls is that? And curious, about how much did that cost? lolThe best part about making your own sushi is how much money you save. Its insane!
Outstanding work! :)
Except you didn't make any of them inside-out, so they're all inedible.
i feel bad for whoever ate from the roll that was made first and sat while the others got rolled up
Beautiful work you did there. Just out of curiosity, how long did it take for you to make all that?
Isn't that called a tart?
As I was once a 5 year old I disapprove of your choice on behalf of all 5 year olds... especially your kid.
Haven't had fruit pizza in years. That looks great.
Looks awesome, great job! I always think homemade birthday cakes beat store bought.
That's not a pizza.
Had an ex that made me fruit pizza. She lied to me and cheated on me constantly, but god do i miss that fruit pizza.
I want to scream BLASPHEMY!! But I also realllyyy wanna try it.
Love the pic love the pie but not pizza ...I take pizza serious sorry if offended youn
That's not a dessert.
Looks delicious! I didn't have fruit pizza until I was a teen, but 5 year old me would have loved it too!
I don't know a lot of 5 year-olds that like kiwi
i assume the first 4 weren't good enough to be included in the pictures? i'm seriously more curious about the other 4 desserts, or if there were more than 5.
I have this hilarious mental image of her getting super excited because she thought you said "We can have fruit, pizza, and presents!"
Omg fruit pizza is amazing and you're an awesome parent for making it lol
Pretty sure she or he would rather have real pizza or cake for his or her birthday
NOT A DAMN PIZZA!
What about cake?
is the fruit actually fruit or just pepperoney's with food coloring
Not a pizza at all but ok. I guess tart slipped your mind
that looks awesome, could you give us a rough recipe rundown? (im not a great cook but im tryna learn)
How deep is that pan? I feel like I'm looking down into a bottomless pit. Trick of the camera, maybe.
(By the way, that looks amazing! Lucky kiddo!)
Made this in Bon Appetite this semester. Was not disappointed
That looks amazing
You're making pizza? Oh boy thanks dad!
When you make this, do you pre-cook the rice? Also how long do you typically fry it, do you aim for a crispy texture or just try to dry off the excess moisture?
I've done fried rice a couple of times but I haven't been successful in getting a nice texture yet.
Looks like it could use a bit of oyster sauce
Looks delicious :) can we get a recipe?
Looks so yummy!!
I like it.
Nice. Looks yummy! Funny I made something very similar tonight.
Can I come over? :o
I love making fried rice. Adding basil is my personal favorite.
Terrible picture of terrible food.
Yuck looks disgusting
This looks soooooooo tasty
God I love Texas! Thank God I live here!
Looks fantastic! But what's that little meat bomb in front of the coleslaw?
I'm curious how much that tray of awesome cost?
Omg I'm literally drooling! Why does Texas have to be so far away!! 😭
Dallas has really stepped up their BBQ game. When I lived there, there weren't a ton of really exceptional spots, but now there are a good number of places where you can get some stellar brisket and beef rib.
You may all go to Lockhart, but I will go to Hutchins
McKinney or Frisco?
The only bbq place I've been to in Texas is The Salt Lick, but it was amazeballs.
Love that place! They catered my rehearsal dinner! Make sure you don't skimp out on the brisket with extra bark! And the broccoli slaw....lawwddd it's good
Just got back from Dallas. Went to Pecan Lodge and have to say it was damn good. How does Hutchins compare?
THIS GETS ME ALL BONED UP. #hardfromlubbock
Those stuffed jalapenos are one of the best things I've ever eaten
You won't go back to eating this once you've had Korean BBQ
Where's the white bread? ;)
That is some nice guac
Looks great. What did you season the chicken with?
What kind of monster puts tomatoes in guacamole?!
Looks amazing, and im a sucker for guac 😍
Asheville has the best foodie scene and the thing looks amazing
One of the best places to eat in town
Two words: Gravy Flights.
Love me some Biscuit Head.
What's that white thing on top of the biscuit?
Coconut Curried Collard Greens. Period!
Looks dank as fuck
I missed out. Didnt go to Asheville when I was over there.
I wish places wouldnt use those horrible metal bowls. Every UK place that sells BBQ or 'American' style food uses them and your food goes cold faster. Plus id rather eat off a clean looking ceramic plate or disposable paper/basket combo than some bent up metal dish.
I love eating there. Best foodie town.
I assume that's some syrup on the plate? Real maple?
I've lived in Asheville for my whole life minus a short stint for college. How have I never heard of this place!?
to me , it looked dry.
Best breakfast ever. The Asheville Benedict makes me believe in God and the afterlife.
Live about an hour from asheville. 9ne of the coolest towns ever.
Best breakfast place in Asheville. Love it
Only place I needed go to twice last time I was in town.
Hello all -
Recently, my obsession with making ice cream has resurfaced, and I've been embarking on some adventures over the past few weeks.
Here is a pretty standard Blueberry that I like to make with some Lemon Zest in there for fun ..
Base1.5 cups whole milk1.5 cups heavy cream2/3 cups sugar1/8 tsp sea salt5 egg yolksdash of vanilla extract
In a small pot, heat the dairy, sugar, and salt over medium-low-ish heat (stirring) until it simmers a bit. DO NOT BOIL IT.
Remove from heat.
Whisk 5 egg yolks in a separate metal bowl.
Slowly - and I mean SLOWLY (or else you'll end up with scrambled eggs), pour the heated mixture into the egg yolks WHILE WHISKING the entire time until the mixtures are combined.
Pour that mixture back into your pot and heat over medium-low, stirring quite frequently (it's a labor of love), until the mixture thickens and coats the back of a wooden spoon. Add the dash of vanilla.
Once that is thick enough. Remove from heat and strain through a fine mesh stainer into your metal bowl (that you washed), cover with saran wrap, and chill for a few hours. Since it's been freezing here in Chicago, I just put it outside for a bit. Ha ha.
Blueberry Compote2 cups blueberries1/3 cup sugar1 lemon
Place the blueberries and sugar into a pan and heat over medium. Soon the blueberries will begin to transform and burst. This is good. Stir occasionally. Turn down the heat to medium-low.
Take half of the lemon and squeeze into the blueberries - no seeds plz. And then grate the lemon rind into the blueberries.
You could cook and mash until you'd like; I prefer to keep some whole for added texture in the ice cream.
Once the mixture has thickened a bit, take it from the heat and put into a metal bowl. Cover and chill for a few hours.
When the base and blueberry mixtures are chilled, combine them. Enjoy the lovely display of swirling and mixing these delicious creations together to a beautiful purple mix.
Keep this chilled until you're ready to make your ice cream, and then standard operating guidelines apply for your ice cream machine.
Enjoy!!! Always open to ideas and evolution to the process. Making ice cream is truly a labor of love, and it's amazing to share with friends and family.
Looks so good!! Even left a recipe I'm definitely trying it.
I'd upvote anything that's ice cream 😊
Thank you for sharing your recipe!! I have never made ice cream before but your post has me feeling inspired
I made ice cream once, it tasted so good (vanilla + nuts) but it was rock solid when i took it out from the freezer. And I mean rock solid - I bend my steel spoon with it. I didn´t let the mixture thicken enough in pot.
I will definitely try your recipe, it looks really good. Thanks for sharing!
Share please 😍
Looks exactly the same as the Brooklyn location. They're just now adding the egg. How much was it in US$?
Woah looks pretty awesome. What's that red stuff in the middle? What kind of hotsauce?
ate there last march, pretty much every night i was in hong kong!
but where is the curtain? and did you get the match annin tofu?! SO GOOD!
Isn't this that chain place?
mmm, one of my favorite breakfasts. I'll use tater-tots, chopped onions/peppers, chopped bacon - mash everything together and then brown. Finish with shredded cheese and eggs.
List of ingredients please?
I like eggs, ham and fried potatoes in the same breakfast, but for some reason not cooked all together in a pile like that.
Your lack of corned beef is disturbing
YOU TAKE HASH WHAT ???
I never ate octopus,but I'll love to try it😘
Love octopus but I fee bad eating it cuz they are pretty smart.
Looks beautiful! I just recently started to eat octopus and enjoy it.
Have I been subscribed to octopus facts?
Never, have I ever, desired pasta from a convenience store.
I just ate, but God damn now I'm hungry again. That looks glorious
doesn't look good
As a Canadian I approve of this post.
Looks like heaven
looks tasty, but expensive
Had bison burritos a couple days ago, 10/10 on flavor, and consistency
For such a large animal you didn't get much meat. 8-(
Where did you find this miracle?
How does bison taste?
looks skimpy on bison
Best in the city. If you head down to Liuzza's, you might end up drinking with rod Stewart or at least I did during Jazzfest. Great city.
We always go to Angelo's after we eat at Juans Flying Burrito down Carrollton. Turns into a 5000 calorie night.
What is the powder?
Grew up in NOLA. Those are some of the best pastries in the city.
Another poster mentioned Liuzza's. Damn fine drinking there. My grandparents lived in the same neighborhood. By age 16, I was in there regularly.
Your wife is talented. In more ways than you know
Damn that's one colourful cake! Very nice
Your home has awesome industrial-grade stainless steel counters and sinks! (Assuming that's where this pic was taken)
Your wife made the wedding cake?! What a fun and awesome way to save money!
what stores did you buy that in?
Ice cream.... Why do I love you so much when you make my stomach a warzone??? You damned, evil temptress!
Please post recipe?
Mm lucky you :)
Apologies to the lactose intolerant.....Easiest ice cream recipe: one carton of ready made custard. Put in a freezer container and freeze for an hour remove and stir well with a fork. Wait an hour and do it again. Wait an hour and do it again. Stir every half an hour to break up ice crystals. This makes amazing vanilla ice cream. Want maple bacon? Add maple syrup and bacon pieces!!
I have the same icecream scoop, best one I've ever used.
Good lord that looks yummy.
why is the pork red?
What shrimp did you use?
Doesn't look like enough for four people... maybe I just have a sushi problem
I could so eat this alone
Hey its me four
Doesn't have the greatest plate appeal, but the flavours are exactly what I imagined.
